This 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 has been registered in California since at least 1998, and it now shows under 62k miles. It is finished in Sable over Biscuit leather and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission. The car has knock-off wire wheels, a Pyle stereo, air conditioning, and a heated rear window. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, and a tune-up was performed in preparation for the sale. This Series III E-Type is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a repair manual, three sets of keys, and a clean California title.

The body is finished in Sable. There is a dent ahead of the fuel filler.

The 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Toyo Spectrum Touring Radial narrow-whitewall tires.

The seating surfaces are upholstered in Biscuit leather. A Pyle stereo has been installed ahead of the shifter, and the car also has a heated rear window and air conditioning. Speaker boxes have been placed behind the front seats.

The five-digit odometer shows under 62k miles, approximately 10 of which were added during current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 272 horsepower and 304 lb-ft of torque. An alternator has been installed in place of the factory generator, and an electronic distributor has been added. The seller states the spark plugs were replaced and an oil change was performed in March 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

Literature, a service manual, and an owner’s handbook are included in the sale.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
